HS2 have launched a consultation on their draft Environmental Statement and draft Equality Impact Assessment for the Phase 2B route between Crewe and Manchester and the West Midlands and Leeds. This is the first opportunity that land and property owners have had to review the detail of what is proposed and to make an official response to the plans. The consultation runs until 21st December and full details can be found here.

On Phase 2a – the West Midlands to Crewe route – we are expecting an opportunity to petition on additions to the existing plans early in the New Year.

These consultations are opportunities for members to further understand the implications and effects of HS2 on their property or business and make representation on how the scheme will affect them. It is important that all official responses on this project are concise and focus on the key material issues so they can be properly registered and assessed by HS2.
