Opportunity for sites with development potential

Landowners who have sites with development potential should be promoting and preparing planning strategies now so that they are ready to move quickly as planning opportunities arise at a local level.

The Cheshire West and Cheshire local plan conversation (…..pre ‘consultation’…?!) will be closing on the 15th September and provides the opportunity to put individual sites forward for various types of development.  It is important that representations are made early in this process so that they can be considered during any review of housing figures and site allocations. Cheshire East are not quite at the same stage formally, but are preparing a similar exercise in order to keep up to date with the Governments proposed planning reforms hailing a ‘simplification’ of the planning process.

There has been a lot of activity in recent months with developers and speculators considering where the next tranche of development might be as housing demand continues to grow.

We have made representations on behalf of numerous edge of town sites and are arranging an ever increasing number of partnership or joint venture agreements between landowners and developers.
