Wilson Fearnall was instructed to investigate the potential for renewable energy on a farm in Cheshire. After a comprehensive assessment the greatest potential was for a multi megawatt solar installation.
The client was not in the position to take on the development and construction finance of such a project, but they were interested in letting the opportunity to a third party.
Wilson Fearnall were duly instructed to promote the opportunity to a range of trusted developers to secure the best deal. In order to encourage offers initial feasibility work was further undertaken to clarify the planning, ecological and grid connection risks that can often limit such developments.
After a focused marketing exercise a market-topping offer was agreed with a chosen developer on option terms that were proposed on behalf of the Landlord.
