Running from Lake Vrynwy in North Wales through to Merseyside the Vrynwy Aqueduct has been delivering drinking water across the North West since 1892.  United Utilities have already undertaken refurbishment works to around 40% of the pipeline, but are planning works on three more sections from 2023 with enabling works already underway in some areas.

Landowners should engage early with United Utilities and their contractors in order minimise any disturbance or to agree accommodation works or compensation.

The work is programmed into three sections:

• Malpas to Tarporley (2023 – 2025)
• Tarporley to Norton (2023 – 2027)
• Norton to Prescott (2025 -2027)

United Utilities are working with planning authorities and stakeholders across Cheshire and Merseyside to obtain the necessary consents and any interested part should view the information pages on the project website which can be found here.
